Your reserve dollars at work: Infrastructure improvements underway
This fall, Sunriver residents and
visitors may notice construction activity along Meadow Road and River
Road as two important infrastructure
improvement projects move forward.
While the work may cause temporary
inconveniences, the projects are designed to enhance safety, accessibility
and long-term reliability.
The Meadow Road Realignment
Project will improve roadway safety
and create space for a future pathway
connection as funding becomes available. By shifting a portion of the roadway to the west, the project lays the
groundwork for expanded multimodal
transportation options and improved
connectivity for residents and visitors.
At the same time, crews are replacing the aging tunnel beneath River
Road near Lake Aspen. The existing
tunnel has served the community for
many years, and its replacement will
help ensure safe and reliable passage for
pedestrians and cyclists into the future.
Once complete, the new structure will
support Sunriver's pathway network
while improving overall infrastructure
resilience.
As with any large infrastructure project, temporary traffic delays, detours
and pathway closures are necessary
to complete the work safely. Sunriver
Owner’s Association (SROA) appreci-
ates the patience and cooperation shown
by residents, visitors, local businesses
and community partners throughout
construction.
The Meadow Road project is expected
to be completed in October, while work
on the River Road tunnel is anticipated
to continue through late November,
weather permitting.
SROA thanks the community for its
understanding as these improvements
move toward completion. Although
construction brings short-term disruptions, the projects are intended to
provide safer, more reliable infrastructure that will benefit Sunriver for years
to come.

Sunriver owners, visitors and community members can look forward
to a fresh online experience in the
new year as redesigns of the SROA
and SHARC websites move toward
launch. The redesigned SROA and
SHARC websites are expected to go
live in early 2027, bringing a more
modern, user-friendly experience
to the community.
The project was launched with
a simple goal: make it easier for
people to find information, access
services and interact with SROA and
SHARC online. Over the years, both
websites have grown significantly,
creating challenges with navigation,
document management and content
organization. The redesign provides
an opportunity to streamline the
experience and better meet the needs
of today's users.
For owners, one of the most noticeable improvements will be easier
access to important information,
forms, governing documents and
community resources. Information
will be organized more intuitively,
helping users spend less time searching and more time getting what
they need. The new websites will
also expand self-service options,
allowing owners to complete more
tasks online.
The redesign also focuses on improving accessibility and mobile usability. Whether viewed on a desktop
computer, tablet or smartphone, the
new websites are being designed to
provide a more consistent and accessible experience for all users.
In addition to benefits for owners
and visitors, the project will help staff
maintain content more efficiently,
ensuring that information can be
updated more quickly and accurately.
The new websites represent an investment in better service, improved
communication and a stronger
digital experience for the entire
Sunriver community.
