Beat the heat: SHARC to offer rentable shade structures this summer
SROA NEWS – Whether
guests are looking for a break
from the summer sun or a
comfortable place to relax
between trips around the
lazy river, SHARC will debut
a new shaded seating
option this season with the
addition of five rentable
SHARC Shade structures.
Located behind the lazy
river, the dedicated shade
areas are designed to provide
a comfortable home base for
families and groups during their
visit. Each structure includes
lounge chairs, bistro chairs and
a table, creating a convenient
spot to unwind while enjoying
a day at SHARC.
SHARC Shades will be
available in two daily sessions:

11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30
p.m. to 7 p.m. Guests may
reserve a structure for one or
both sessions, with separate fees
required for each time period.
Each shade structure
accommodates up to eight
people. The rates to reserve
a SHARC Shade are $90 per
session for owners with a
valid Member Preference or
Extended Household
membership and $100 per
session for Recreation Plus
members and the public.
Admission to SHARC
is not included in the rental
fee, and guests must still
pay gate admission or use
applicable passes.
Reservations must be made in
person at SHARC or by phone
(541-585-5000). There is no
online reservation system at
this time. There is no limit on
how far in advance reservations
may be made, and same-day
bookings will be accepted if
space is available. Payment will
be collected upon arrival.
Guests must arrive within
the first hour of their reserved
session or the structure may
be released for same-day
booking by another party.
Please note that all pool rules
still apply and no outside
food or drink is allowed when
renting a SHARC Shade.
Food can be purchased at the
café and must be consumed
at the café patio.
