Johnson is a loyal friend
to Sunriver Books and the
community. We are honored
by his generosity in giving
entertaining presentations for
Sunriver Books. Johnson is a
tremendously talented author,
entertaining speaker, and a
great guy.

service is battling a couple of
wildfires near Highway 16.
Pepper McKay, patriarch at
the O-Kay Ranch, was discovered in Crazy Woman Creek.
Well, at least he went out

married, or single. Their husbands, fathers, and brothers
found his attention objectionable. Jealousies erupted and
fisticuffs ensued. If Pepper
were murdered, the suspect list
would be long.
BeeBee Harris grew up on
the working cattle ranch she
inherited. As times changed,
it made sense for it to become
the O-Kay dude ranch. It is a
beautiful place, a historic lodge
at the mouth of a canyon with
Crazy Woman Creek, a prime
fishing spot, running through
the property. No wonder
wealthy people craving a bit of
the old west would pay handsomely to enjoy a bit of fishing,
horse riding and playing cow-

Nature can be splendidly
lush, gorgeous and serene.
It also can be terrifying. The
O-Kay Ranch is a place of
natural beauty. But as Walt is
delving into who killed Pepper

a red-hot fury and about to
unleash a conflagration. The
situation is about to become
deadly dangerous.
