A summer tradition: Sunriver’s annual Community Picnic returns
The Sunriver Community
Picnic returns Wednesday, July
15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mary
McCallum Park. Residents of
the greater Sunriver area and
their guests are invited to gather
along the Deschutes River
for an evening of food, music
and connection.
This popular annual event
brings families and friends together to enjoy great food and
live entertainment.
There is always a bit of friendly competition as picnickers
compete in cornhole, pétanque
and horseshoes games.
Dinner will be provided by
Baldy’s Barbeque, with a choice
of baby-back ribs, roasted
chicken or vegan sausage. Sides
include baked beans, coleslaw,
green salad, watermelon and
dessert. Nonalcoholic beverages will be provided. Guests
are welcome to bring their own
preferred beverages. Live music
by Heller Highwater will keep
the energy lively with a mix of
crowd favorites perfect for relaxing or dancing.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Deschutes River,
the evening offers a chance to
reconnect with neighbors and
make new friends in one of Sunriver’s most beautiful settings.
The event is organized by the
Sunriver Women’s Club, with
special thanks to the SROA
Owner Enrichment Committee for sponsoring the band.
Advance registration is required
at www.sunriverwomensclub.
org. Tickets are $22 per person. Registration closes July 8
or when capacity is reached.
