Sunriver Music Festival launches its 50th season, announces concerts
Sunriver Music Festival’s
49th season concluded with
August’s landmark summer
festival of six full orchestra
concerts including classical and
pops, a trombone trio concert,
an opportunity for kids of all
ages to Meet the Instruments,
a night of Happy Hour Harmonies, and an abundance of
free open rehearsals – all packed
into 12 days!
Audiences visited the Tower
Theatre and the Sunriver Resort Great Hall to experience
professional musicians who
traveled from around the world
to perform in Central Oregon.
Residents in Sunriver and Bend
opened their guest rooms to
musicians and others cared
for the musicians by providing
refreshments at rehearsals or
airport rides. There are so many
ways the community helps
make the music happen.
While these days in August
are jam-packed with music, did
you know that Sunriver Music
Festival is a year-round organization? Here’s your first look
at featured concerts launching

Oregon Symphony, the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, and
