skills, or simply enjoy a few
hours in the forest.
For those who prefer a little
more excitement, the area
also offers technical traverses,
advanced terrain and jump
lines that rival some of the best
mountain biking anywhere.

Chain Reaction provide steeper
grades, bigger features, and
a healthy dose of adrenaline

communications as connections increased. Presented May
31, 2026 financials to the
Finance Committee and continued work with auditors on
year-end statements. Processed
MPP/RPP pass sales and supported CTF task force.
• Communications: Produced May Scene ($19,047
revenue) and ongoing digital
content. Website traffic included ~18.8k visits to SROA/
SHARC sites. Distributed
multiple eblasts (roadwork,
fuel reduction monitoring, and
pathways navigation. Transitioned noxious weeds program
to ongoing annual system.
• Public Works: Completed
tennis court resurfacing (9
courts). Continued ladder
fuel reduction work and irrigation upgrades at SHARC
amphitheater (water savings
improvements). Ongoing road/
pathway repairs, paving, and
slurry prep. Pickleball shade
project underway. Fleet upgrades and staff succession
training in progress.
• Recreation/SHARC:
SHARC fully operational for
Memorial Day; pools open
and functioning well. Continued cabana construction and
facility repairs (lockers, UV,
irrigation). Completed air filtration upgrades and advanced
fire season, CTF updates, etc.).
Advanced marketing for events
(Uncorked, Surf Tunes, Oktoberfest) and continued Asana
implementation.
• Community Development: Design Committee
meetings ongoing; limited
May submittals. Active permits at ~175 (slight increase).
Processed 107 applications.
Continued compliance enforcement and magistrate
hearings. Issued decision on
estoppel request. Advanced
Design Manual updates and
coordinated field iPad rollout/
training with IT.
• Natural Resources: Conducted 90+ LFR inspections
and extensive outreach (postcards, notices, limbing notifications). Continued environmental monitoring (Oregon
spotted frog, river levels). Coordinated wildfire education
efforts and responded to property/tree requests.
• IT: Prepared recreation
systems for summer operations. Completed Q2 cybersecurity testing (low vulnerability). Developed recreation
reporting tool for SHARC
usage. Expanded GIS tools for
compliance tracking, ladder
River Road tunnel engineering.
Strong Memorial Day usage
(~1,000 daily visitors). Tennis courts ready for summer;
pickleball construction ongoing with minimal disruption.
Lifeguard certification classes
ongoing. New Events Coordinator started June 1. Summer
season launched June 12 with
extended hours.
