Sunriver Service District focused on summer activities and safety reminders

The Sunriver Police Department is pleased to announce the
return of its seasonal bike patrol
program for the 2026 summer
season.
Staff members welcome
four local young adults from
Deschutes County to the
Sunriver Police Department
family: Lucas McBride, Morgan
Voll, Ellie Preston and Evan
Stahl. These team members
will be out on Sunriver's network of pathways each day,
helping ensure residents and
visitors enjoy a safe and pleasant experience while exploring
our community.
The bike patrol members
serve as ambassadors for the
police department by assisting
cyclists, offering directions to
locals and visitors, and promoting compliance with pathway rules designed to keep
everyone safe. Their presence
allows police officers to remain
available for other public safety
needs and increases the police
department’s ability to serve
the community during the busy
summer months.

Join the Sunriver Police Department for its annual Shredding and Prescription Drug
Disposal event. This event is
free to the public and will take
place July 11 from 9 a.m. to 11
a.m. behind the SROA administration building at 57455 Abbot Drive adjacent to Sunriver
Police and Fire department.
