Artists selected for the Sunriver Art Fair
Sunriver Art Fair is a juried,
nationally recognized fine arts
and crafts event and a favorite
summer cultural event for locals and visitors.
The fair is Friday, Aug. 7 and
Saturday, Aug. 8 from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 9
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in The
Village at Sunriver. Admission
and parking are free to the
outdoor fair.
The 80 selected artists represent a wide range of mediums
including ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting, photography,
sculpture, textiles, woodworking, drawing and mixed media.
There were more than 200
applications for the show.
The artists come from near
and far. Among the featured
artists is Sunriver woodworker
Joe Glassford, who has exhibited his handcrafted bowls and
trays at the fair for more than
a decade. La Pine artist Kandy
Stern returns for her third
year, showcasing contemporary
realistic drawings and paintings of animals. From further
afield, Reno-based impressionist painter Nanette Oleson
will return with her colorful
oil paintings.
The fair combines longtime
favorites with several new exhibitors. Jeweler Laura Rubin
will present new creations for
her Sunriver following, while
