Rotary Club announces e-bike winner
By Lee Haroun
It’s a win-win for both the
e-bike winner Holly Paget and
the Sunriver-La Pine Rotary
Club. Paget won the club’s raffle
to win a new e-bike with the
lucky ticket number 44. And
Rotary raised funds to help support south Deschutes County
student scholarships and awards
to local nonprofit organizations.
Paget and her husband moved
to Sunriver from Northern California after retiring, and they
are looking forward to biking
and participating in other activities in the community.
Rotary acquired the bike
from Play It Again Sports in
Bend for a discounted price
and sold raffle tickets for $25
each. Community members
had the opportunity to buy
tickets throughout the summer at the Sunriver Saturday
Market events, sponsored by
the Sunriver Area Chamber of
Commerce.
Many Rotary Club members
worked to make this fundraiser
a success. Shirley Olson organized the raffle and top ticket
sellers included Kaylyn Grammater, Rebecca Chambers,
Aaron Schofield, Robert Foster
and Kristine Thomas.
Rotary’s next major fundraiser will take place June 13, 2026,
in Benham Hall at SHARC.
“A Day at the Derby” is the
theme and in addition to dinner
there will be races, games and
other fun activities. Silent and
live auctions will feature local
crafts and nationwide getaways.
Food will be provided by Bleu
Bite catering.
Please plan to join us for a
lovely event that will help us
continue to fulfill our motto of
“Service Above Self.”
Visit sunriver-lapinerotary.org to learn more about
the club or plan to attend at
meeting starting at 7:45 a.m.
on Wednesdays in the Hearth
Room at Sunriver Resort Lodge.

Sunriver Chamber hosts second annual Sunriver Saturday Holiday Market
Chamber welcomes new
member: Hank’s Heating and
Cooling
Hank’s Heating and Cooling
is a small, family-owned business built on the principles of
quality workmanship, honesty,
and customer trust.
Courtney Johnson and Damon Veach are the owners.
They named the business after
their beloved red heeler pup,
Hank, because their company
was inspired by his unwavering
loyalty and hard-working spirit.
They often say, “Good boys
do good work,” and Hank reminds Courtney and Damon
every day of the dedication they
bring to their craft.
They specialize in providing
top-quality HVAC solutions
tailored to meet the unique
needs of each customer. Whether it's a routine tune-up or a
complete system installation,
they approach every job with
the same care and attention to
detail they would expect in their
own home.
Their mission grew out of
concern for where the industry
was heading – more focus on
sales quotas and less on people.
At Hank’s, they do things
differently. They take the time
to understand your situation,
your home, and your budget.
They offer long-term solutions
that make sense – not just sell
you something you don’t need.
They are proud to be a part of
the Central Oregon community
and are committed to delivering
honest, dependable service to
our neighbors. Your comfort
matters to Courtney and Damon, and so does your trust.
Thank you for considering
Hank’s Heating and Cooling.
They look forward to becoming
your trusted HVAC team – because like Hank, they are in it
for the long haul.
