‘The Beautiful West: Near and Far’ at the Nancy McGrath Green Gallery
“Wildlife photography is what drives my passion.
It is a difficult discipline,” photographer Sue Dougherty said. “You never know if or when the animals
will appear, how close you will get, if the weather
will cooperate, or if the light will be right. It is that
uncertainty, the hope that there may be an amazing
surprise, that the universe may deliver, that really
amps the anticipation.”
Dougherty is one of five photographers featured in
“The Beautiful West: Near and Far” at the Nancy McGrath Green Gallery in Sunriver through December.
From Aasgard Pass to Mount Thielsen, the photographers bring landscapes to life from some surprising
perspectives.
The gallery is located at 18139 Cottonwood Road,
inside the Sunriver Christian Fellowship.
The gallery is open weekdays, 1 to 4 p.m. and
directly after church service on Sunday. Admission
is free.
