Fresh air, new friends: Spring with the Sunriver Women’s Club
Spring has arrived in Sunriver,
and with it comes that unmistakable pull to step outside,
breathe in the fresh mountain
air, and reconnect with nature.
Snow is melting off the trails,
the Deschutes River is beginning to sparkle in the sun, and
the days are finally stretching
longer, inviting all of us to get
moving again.
There’s no better way to
embrace the season than by
joining the vibrant community
of the Sunriver Women’s Club.
Known for bringing women
together through friendship,
wellness and shared interests,
the club offers a wide variety
of outdoor activities designed
to get you outside and enjoy
everything Central Oregon has
to offer.
Whether you’re an avid cyclist or just looking for a leisurely ride, the club’s biking
group explores scenic paths
and quiet roads throughout the
Sunriver area.
Prefer being on the water?
The kayaking group is ready
to paddle along the beautiful
Deschutes River, offering both
peaceful floats and a chance to
spot local wildlife.
If walking and talking is more
your speed, there are organized
hiking and walking groups that
explore the region’s stunning
trails and springtime blooms.
The fun doesn’t stop there.
The club’s calendar is packed
with opportunities to connect
including monthly luncheons,
coffee meetups, birthday lunches and happy hours that warmly
welcome both members and
prospective members. Beyond
these, a variety of gatherings
from the knitting group and
dinner club to special events
hosted by the Loose Cannons
keep the social calendar vibrant
throughout the year.
Grant Program. The consistent
focus of our grants year-afteryear has inspired other nonprofits to bring their services to
south Deschutes County. In an
impressive way, we have seeded
a bigger investment from other
sources in our community.
