LFR Pick-Up Program returns in April
SROA NEWS – Spring is
the perfect time to start tidying
up your property and reduce
wildfire risk, and SROA Public
Works is here to help.
From April through October,
the Ladder Fuels Reduction
(LFR) Pick-Up Program makes
it easy for Sunriver owners to
dispose of woody debris and
fire-prone vegetation right
from the roadside.
Who is The Service For?
SROA Public Works crews
provide this service exclusively
for Sunriver owners. Please
note: Contractor-generated
materials are not eligible. This
is for owners who conduct LFR
cleanup work themselves on
their own property.
What We’ll Collect
• Roadside pickup includes
natural ladder fuel materials
such as:
• Branches or limbs
• Seedlings
• Large shrubs or brush, including bitterbrush, manzanita
and juniper
When Are Pickups?
Pickup begins the first
Monday of each month, April
through October, weather and
scheduling permitting.
Crews check every lane once
per month – no need to call or
schedule.
Where & How
Simply stack materials neatly
and parallel to the lane for
collection. To ensure safe and
efficient pickup:
• Do not stack along pathways
• Keep piles away from service boxes, boulders and landscaping
• Place materials where crews
can easily access them
What We Can’t Collect
The following materials will
not be removed. Any nonconforming materials will be
left behind:
• Pine needles and cones
• Grass, leaves or garden
waste
• Small twigs or branches
• Bagged materials
• Contractor-generated debris

Why It Matters
This program supports Sun-
Volunteers sought to populate new Pathway
Ambassador Program this summer
SROA NEWS – Sunriver’s
miles of scenic pathways are
one of the community’s greatest
amenities. This summer, a team
of passionate volunteers will assist to make them even better.
A new Pathway Ambassador
Program will serve as friendly
guides by offering education,
assistance and helpful tips to
ensure everyone can enjoy the
paths safely and confidently.
There is no bike riding involved as ambassadors will be
at stationary posts along the
pathways.
Ambassadors will be active
from mid-May through midSeptember, when Sunriver’s
pathways welcome their heaviest mix of cyclists, walkers and
runners. Their presence will
help promote courtesy, reduce
conflicts and enhance the over-
all user experience for residents
and visitors alike.

looks like in action? View the
