• Accounting: Continue
internet fiber billings and communications with owners about
the process. Worked on 2025
year-end closing. Processed
annual maintenance fee payments. Worked on new Capital
Transfer Fee for summer election.
• Communications: Revamping information on Natural Resource web pages. Designing new kiosk rules panel to
include recommendations from
Pathway Safety Task Force.
Continue to meet with community stakeholders to plan
the 2026 Oktoberfest events.

Director position and opened

• Community Development: There are 175 active
projects/building permits. Participated in Magistrate Hearings on violations and citations.
Developed a pre-construction
checklist to avoid construction
compliance issues. Met with IT
staff to complete iPad configu-
rations for on-site use. Of the
40 remaining non-compliant
properties with tree protection,
only 10 were issued citations
for failing to come into compliance.
• Natural Resources: Continue to mark trees within the
2026 Ladder Fuels Reduction
contract areas on SROA commons. Presented at Magistrate
and Judicial Council hearings.
Performed site visits regarding
tree removal/LFR requests on
private properties. Attended
Oregon State Fire Marshal’s
Defensible Space Model Code
meeting. Attended La Pine
Basil All Lands Partnership
meeting (fire related).
• IT: A Microsoft service outage interrupted SROA emails
for a couple of hours. IT Strategic Plan was presented in January and accepted by the board.

and a contractor selected for
eight sport courts to be resurfaced this spring. Fresh wood
chips have been spread at the
dog park. New picnic tables
have been installed. Willows
have been cut back on the pathway in the meadow area. Placed
logs and “no parking” signs at
problem parking areas. Starting to block rogue pathways
around SHARC. Rehabilitating road drainage on Cottonwood Road and Abbot Drive
as they enter Sunriver. Starting
to address items recommended
by the Pathway Safety Task
Force. Received draft report
of Cardinal Landing Bridge.
Researching replacement of
woodchipper. Geo-tech analysis completed for River Road
tunnel and awaiting report to
develop a plan. SHARC natatorium lights replaced under
warranty. Replaced east wing
water heater at SHARC.
• Recreation/SHARC: Recreation office remodel will be
wrapping up mid-February.

Customers who divert materials from garbage to recycling
may be able to downsize their
trash container. Moving from a
96-gallon trash can to a 65-gallon – or from 65 to 35 gallons
– could offset the estimated $6
recycling service increase.

a 96-gallon blue cart for commingled recycling only (no
glass). Recyclable glass must
still be taken to transfer stations
in Bend or La Pine or placed in
the garbage container.
