Canines race for gold, support Ronald McDonald House

The Village at Sunriver hosted its 12th annual Sunriver K9
Keg Pull, sponsored by Sunriver
Brewing Co., in February.
With more than 160 dogs
pulling for victory, spectators
were treated with impressive
feats of athleticism as well as
some hearty laughs.
With six weight classes, all
dogs big and small had a chance
to compete for gold. While
some competitors could not
handle the cheering crowds
and bright lights, others had
obviously been training since
this time last year (queue the
“Rocky” theme song).
Regardless of each dogs’ performance, they were met with
love and appreciation from the
crowd.
Stand outs from this year’s
keg pull include four-time
champion Sir Bentley from the
11-20lb weight class and backto-back champ Boris the Blade
from the 100lb + weight class.
While winning gold is fun,

Administration
–Developing the FY 2027

for PERS Tier 1 and Tier 2
employees.
–Working on resolving various PERS-related issues.
–Met with the Aflac representative to review available
benefit offerings to share with
employees.
–Worked closely with employees to resolve issues that
came up during the FSA transition from PacificSource to
PNC Financial Services, including new procedures for the
pay-per-transaction process
replacing the previous monthly
billing method.
–Answered staff questions for
the voluntary separation buyout
program.
–Continuing to gather information and explore options
for potentially expanding police-only services to the Crosswater/Caldera area.
–Met with the Nominating
Committee to review the final
draft of the committee manual,
discuss current vacancies, and
kick off the advertising campaign to fill open positions.
Other business
–The meeting adjourned at
3:47 p.m.
–The next regular meeting
of the Sunriver Service District
Managing Board is scheduled
for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19,.
